Nanophotonics Laboratory was established in 2009. The main scopes of its activity are:
- Experimental studies of the optical and structural properties of semiconductor materials and semiconductor nanoheterostructures, including self-assembled quantum dots;
- Experimental study of semiconductor lasers characteristics, including microlasers (microdisk, microring lasers)
- Theoretical modeling of physical phenomena, occurring in semiconductor nanostructures and nanostructure-basedoptoelectronic devices;
- Development of the novel semiconductor optoelectronic devices, based on semiconductor nanostructures
The laboratory is involved in Bachelors educational program in the field of "Applied Mathematics and Physics", Masters educational program in the field of "Electronics and Nanoelectronics" and Postgraduate course in "Physics of Semiconductors".
